Minka Robinson Stevens

ITCMDA, L.Ac

Minka was born and raised on Mountain Drive in Santa Barbara, California. Growing up in the foothills foraging for edible and medicinal native plants she developed a passion for botany, gardening, cooking, nutrition, and herbal medicine. Minka attended Yo San University, one of the nation’s leading Chinese Medical graduate programs, founded by eminent Doctors Daoshing and Maoshing Ni. She graduated with honors and holds Masters of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine and is licensed by the California Acupuncture Board.

Minka worked in integrative orthopedic pain relief at the Venice Family Clinic in Los Angeles. She has also completed specialized training in Pediatric Acupuncture and Integrative Pediatrics. Minka founded an organic, natural, herbal skincare company and has specialized in Dermatology for more than 12 years. She has also studied extensively with world renown expert Mazin Al-Khafaji, and received her Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medical Dermatology. She is a member of the International TCM Dermatology Association and and has a seat on the Advisory Board of the ITCMDA. Minka works with her patients to restore balance, health and harmony allowing their true beauty and vitality to radiate from the inside out.

Kenneth Luke

MS, ATC, L.Ac

Kenneth is a licensed acupuncturist who specializes in orthopedic and sports medicine.  His patients include elite and professional athletes, weekend warriors, and anyone whose daily activities of work, exercise, recreation or hobbies are affected by injury.

As an Athletic Trainer, certified by the National Athletic Trainer’s Association Board of Certification, Kenneth has thirty years of experience working with patients in physical therapy clinics, overseeing high school and college sports medicine programs, and as a member of the medical staff of many professional and United States Olympic teams.

Kenneth completed graduate studies in Traditional Oriental Medicine and earned his acupuncture license in 2000.  He combines the art, knowledge and techniques passed down from eastern traditional medicine with western modern orthopedic medicine to create an integrated and holistic style of treatment. This unique combination of skills has proven to be effective for his patients and provided opportunities for him to teach on the faculty of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, to present courses at conferences around the US and Canada, and to continue to work with professional and Olympic teams and athletes.

Before moving to Santa Barbara, Kenneth has had successful private practices in San Diego, Oakland, Sonoma and Marin.

Dr. Ben Olivo

PT, DPT, TPS

Dr. Ben Olivo is a board-certified Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Therapeutic Pain Specialist.   He has been a licensed Physical Therapist for over 10 years, working with a wide variety of patients in multiple settings including hospitals, rehab centers, and outpatient clinics.

He graduated from California State University of Sacramento with both a B.S. in Kinesiology in 2009 and received his Masters of Physical Therapy in 2013. During his time as a physical therapist, he observed how debilitating chronic pain could be, and recognized that there were not many effective solutions at treating it.  Due to this gap in medical knowledge, Ben decided to return to school and pursue his doctorate to further his education to focus on helping people with chronic pain.

His doctoral training had an emphasis on the spine and pain, learning how to combine the latest neuroscience research and strategies to address it.  He primarily works now as holistic physical therapist offering a mind-body approach to help people with chronic pain reconnect to their bodies and restore their lives.

Elena Shelton

Integrative Nutrition Consultant + Pharmacy Manager

Elena grew up in a vibrant community in Santa Barbara, California, where she quickly developed a love for bringing people together around a large table of nourishing food, believing it to be the most potent place for true connection. She earned her BA in Public Health, Creative Arts Therapies, and Education from New York University in 2012. Following graduation, she returned to California to attend Bauman College of Holistic Nutrition in Berkeley. During her culinary studies, she began assisting pregnant and postpartum families with meal support, sparking a deep interest in birth work. 

Since completing her initial Doula training in 2015, Elena has supported over 200 families through the transformative journey of childbirth, solidifying her commitment to personalized care from conception through the postpartum period and beyond.

In 2022, Elena earned certification as an Integrative Nutrition Health Counselor from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, focusing on Advanced Hormone Health. She has since dedicated herself to providing tailored nutritional guidance and support to individuals and group settings.

At Points of Health, Elena will be providing Integrative Nutrition Counseling and collaborating with Minka to offer East Asian Constitutional Nutritional Therapy. Additionally, she serves as Pharmacy Manager, overseeing herbal formulations and maintaining the herb library.
